Impetus Trust and The Private Equity Foundation (PEF) have announced their intention to merge. The aim is to have even greater impact on the lives of disadvantaged people, especially children and young people.

Impetus has been chosen to co-manage a £17.5m contract from the Department of Health to scale up the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) programme. Extending the FNP programme, which provides specialist nurses to work with young, disadvantaged mothers, will allow it to reach 16,000 young women by 2015.
