In partnership with the Centerbridge Foundation and Bain & Company, we are backing Action Tutoring to deliver free GCSE tutoring to more young people. We plan to expand this collaboration over time in support of a targeted portfolio of charities that are ready to scale their impact.

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) was established in 2011 by the Sutton Trust in partnership with Impetus, with a £125 million grant from the Department for Education. The EEF is the government-designated What Works Centre for Education. As a founding partner, we work closely with the EEF to support young people to succeed at school. For example, in response to the covid-19 pandemic, we worked in partnership to design and roll out of the first year of the National Tutoring Programme, including a support programme for tuition partners delivering quality tutoring to 250,000 young people.

Together with the Henry Smith Charity, we have launched the Engage Fund to provide targeted support to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are at risk of exclusion from school or in Alternative Provision. Building on the evidence of what works, this £3million Fund will support and grow impactful programmes, setting even more young people on a path to success.

The Youth Endowment Fund focuses on early intervention to tackle youth offending. It is run by Impetus, in partnership with the Early Intervention Foundation and Social Investment Business.
